I did another Tsunderoo by Valtik again today, but I think I added a bit to it other than colors that I hope is kinda funny anyway.

Looks a bit thicker than in some of my other ones… so I ran with that. First, base colors:
Yeah, bendybench is mine. And the rather cheap background. One thing I’ve started doing is drawing light-lines when I do shadows so I can hopefully keep them straight. Of course, even with them that’s only 2D. Where the light source is front-to-back is still something I have to think about. But anyway, here’s with shading.
I spent way to long on that shading, but mostly I like how it turned out. So next up, she’s sweaty. Sweaty glossy shiny time! My favorite time of day!
Nope, not QUITE done yet. Highlights, sweat staining on her clothes and a little text. I dunno, I though tit was funny given her… um… impressive thighs.
If in that particular situation, I would not advise answering that question. Of course, it may be too late already. I have some more Tsunderoos that I’ll probably do soon too. His lines are nice and fun to work with! But the couple others are.. well, they make this look tame.
This one has no reason for existing but to titillate. But sometimes that’s okay too. I recognized that not only does she not have a tail, but her pussy is extremely puffy. Someone said it looks like a pussyball. But I figure there’s a fetish for everything, and in the scheme of things a pussyball fetish isn’t so bad.

Yeah, that’s not a bad place to start! Base colors first:
Went with the exact complementary color for the bed, just to try it. I wanted to try some soft shading (and highlighting) using opacity on this one. Came up with this:
Then I added sharp shading to boot. Because of my debacle with light sources last time, I actually drew in the light source lines to help me with shadow placement – based on the reflections in her eyes.
That’s my attempt at soft shading with an opaque brush. But I also did similar with highlighting – as well as normal highlighting:
And finally some little shading on the bed and a couple more little tweaks:

This one took days. And then FurNut pointout out the multiple problems I had with the shadows. First, here’s the original sketch by Chochi…
What possessed me to think I could do this, I really don’t know. I pulled out every trick I knew. Then I posted it to FurNut’s server for review. He pointed out what was, perhaps, a problem with the light sources in my shading…
I laughed. I cried. Then today I got to work. I’d already put too much time in to give it up, that’s for sure! So instead I erased all of Chochi’s shading on the table items. Then using the hightlights he drew in their eyes, I figured out where the light source was. In fact, there are two so it’s inherently inconsistent. But I extrapolated a light source triangulated to the intersection of those two which was the best I could come up with.
And so, here’s the final version:

Now, for details if you care. First, there are no nipple bumps in Chochi’s drawing. I added them. Because I like nipple bumps. I think nipple bumps are God’s gift to mankind. I also added the Shiny – but at least only on things that might be covered with shiny cloth. Mostly.
I said I used all my tricks, and I meant it. I did my little furshading on the two tails you can see. I did the woodgrain on the table. I did the hair highlighting. I can’t even remember the rest. I hope you like it as much as I do. I can pretty much tell the individual personalities of all of em! Good job Chochi! I know he doesn’t do much Kitties anymore, but I wish he would. They’re still A-Door-Able.
Alas Valtik appears to have gone somewhat dormant.

He’s got a fully nude version too, but I went with the “frantic-rip-the-clothes-and-get-the-Roo-butt” version for my color job.
In typical Tsunderoo fashion, she loves it and looks all frowny and pissed off at the same time. Why do I find that even hotter?
Anyway, I won’t do the layers thing. Here’s the final colored version.
I’m not going to go into detail on the content. That pretty much speaks for itself. But I did get some suggestions from another artist on this one. The green spandex with black edging was my idea, but originally I had the saturation up even higher than this. He suggested I tone it down a bit as it was blaring everything out of your eyes kinda green. Some suggestions on revising some shadows a bit. and some hair shading improvements. The rest you can blame on me (and Valtik of course!!! It was his idea!)
Background pretty simple but with a RL photo of an exercise mat.Seemed appropriate, even if the angle isn’t EXACTLY right for her pose.
I rather liked the little rip-strappy bit. 🙂
And, per Valtik himself, um… that’s… not… well, how can I put it delicately?
There is no concern about her getting pregnant (regardless of what species the male is or what time of the month it is). Yeah, that sounds better.
Anyway, I like it (obviously!) And when Valtik comes back, hope he does too.
At least I’m keeping up interest in his stuff while he’s away.

APB out for the artist and character. I don’t know either, though I colored her based loosely on Freya – though I’m pretty sure it’s not. Mostly more practice of my new boob-shading technique. Gotta find a good butt sketch next to see if the shading works as well there too.
Anyway, pretty hard to elaborate much on this picture when I know so little about the character so… what you see is what you get.

Revisions due to suggestions by various people, all of whom were right.
I hate doing revisions after I’ve declared something as finished, but sometimes it’s really worth it. Revisions include:
1. Shading in boob-valley. 100% improvement and gives a better 3d effect.
2. Removed shading at edges of arms. As someone pointed out, dark doesn’t “project” like that. Light does, but not darkness
3. Added boob-shading to inside of arms. Again, improves 3d and there would be shadows there anyway as evidenced by the dark directly under them.
4. Added blush as indicated by lines on cheeks.
I think I’ll reblog myself. I try not to do that, but it is a significant improvement based on suggestions.

After flat colors. Obviously removed most of Guoh’s shading to replace with my own. I also have to admit to rounding out her butt a bit. I don’t normally do that sort of thing. I know he was going for the skinny-rat style here, but her butt just seemed a little TOO angular. Couldn’t quite comprehend what was going on around her feet – lower legs either so I simplified those.
Gloss, highlights and shade. But I decided I’d like this to be a night scene, so just one sharp shade layer and pretty dark.
And then a nice night background. Followed a tutorial honestly, but I still think it turned out pretty much how I had in mind.
She doesn’t look like someone you’d want to meet late at night actually. At least, not when she’s pissed off because someone stole her clothes.
I was futzing with different adjustments though and came up with this. Which I think I actually like better than the final above in an artistic way.
I put effort into this one. 12 layers visible. I won’t post ‘em all here, but enough. Hope it shows! When I spend this much time on one, I HAVE to do the layers thing. So here’s the starting point – Guoh’s original Freya sketch. He has a few obviously – this isn’t my first. And that’s a good thing ‘cuz I REALLY like Freya. And Guoh has a thing for anatomy I just haven’t seen often by anyone for ‘furry’ characters. Plus it seems rare that an animalistic character like Freya gets a good, ‘human’ backstory. So even though it’s been years since I played FFIX, I still remember her well. Well, maybe not like this:
First think I did was removed most of his shading since I was going to do my own anyway, but I kept a layer with it still in place so when it came time to shade I could follow his lead.
Flat colors are standard next for me. I went with a bit more yellow than white because I needed a way to put highlights in and if it’s already white… cant get lighter than white. Hair yellow this time because… I wanted to? As for the partial-pink tail.. hold on and I’ll explain in a sec.
I’ve had people say that my soft shading makes em look kinda ‘dirty’ – and not in a good way. So I’ve been leaning more towards hard-shading. But I really wanted to try soft again, so despite some people’s suggestion, we’re going full-soft shading this time. As for her tail, I wanted it to gradient from pink to her light color – that’s why I didn’t color that part after the bow directly. That’s here too.
Okay. Time for glossiness. Sorry, once again, I couldn’t help myself. Also highlighting which is primarily her eyes. (Higher res would reveal that best)
Technically that’s it for Freya herself, but I didn’t want to go without a background. If you think about it, she’s in a really odd position here. How is that spear point working? I mentioned the issue to someone else, but I didn’t explain well and he suggested a cityscape behind her for a background. Interesting, but the problem of what she’s sitting on and how that spear tip is supposed to work was still tough. It’s obvious that the spear is at an angle, with the tip closest to the viewer, angling away. But still, it seems most likely she’s sitting on some sort of rock or something that falls away towards the viewer.
So the rest of this is trying to do a background. I found a kinda neat cityscape from FFIX.
I just used bit of that, but it led me to how the “ledge” she’s sitting on should work. I won’t bore you with more details. Here’s the end result:
I had to create the sort of wall she’s sitting on, but using colors from the road I think it integrates with the background okay at least. Homemade but sometimes that’s the best you can do. Also, not the tail wrapping around the sign. I thought that was cute and integrates her a bit more, even if it’s not immediately noticeable. Field blur on the city so it sharpens as it nears – primarily so Frey still stands out. Some of the shadows, upon reflection, don’t make sense with the angle of the sun. Hopefully they’re not too jarring because I’m leaving it as-is. I like it even if the light source is ambiguous at best!
Like, in the background the lightsource is obviously upper right and towards the viewer. Boob sheen reflects that too. But then the shadow of the spear indicates left and towards viewer. Hmm… How does that work?
Ah, it’s Freya cheesecake. Don’t overanalyze or it falls apart.
I’m feeling sick these last two days. Some sort of cold. Anyway, I had to do something beside playing video games with my downtime, so I poked around in my Guoh folder for something else to color. Came up with this.
Nice, Sweet, Not overly porny and I’m not sure if I’ve ever done Maid Marion before. SURE!

It let me play with a couple of things on her tail too.All those little curve things are actually alternating curves in 2 colors, each slightly below the next one. I like the resut. Not so sure I needed the shading on top of that to boot, but I did it anyway. I found a background that is, I believe, a cell from the actual movie.

Everybody has that thing that turned them in their early years. Robin Hood was mine. It wasn’t a sexual thing – I don’t think – but it was the first time I realized that there was something more to life than just living. It really taught me what love can be. Just… two people who are so into each other. The story was inconsequential. The cheap art and bad music were … well hell, it was a 60′s Disney movie. But it was at heart a love story that I could follow at, like, 7 years old.
There’s a lot worse things than that out there a kid could get into.
