This is my second coloring of this Kobold from Waga (w4g4) here at:
The first you may recall was this one:
I was very proud of that one. Still am. She’s boobless and thus tends to look male, but I still liked the clean lines etc. (that I didn’t draw but still, she looks almost ready to animate or something!). Anyway, I had another of her and I finally got around to coloring it. (Oh! She IS male… He! Yikes! But yeah, Kobolds are weird.)
Not really anything in way of a background here, but I link the two together. She doesn’t get out of the caves much, after her bath she was out sunning herself when a stray butterfly dropped in. Problem is, she doesn’t know if butterflies bite or sting, and it’s sitting right on the tip of her nose. So she’s like, torn.
Coolest thing to me about this is how Waga managed to get those eyes to look like they’re focused on the end of her nose. That’can’t be easy! I just found his tumblr too, so now I might have to lurk there and see what other goodies he’s got that I might get my sticky fingers on!
Oh, and Olive and Mustard colors are just a perfect pair of colors for her, aren’t they?
Oh crap. Well, that’s the risk you run when you color someone elses’ work I guess. You might have the colors wrong… (though hey, I was pretty close on the eyes!)… or the gender! 🙂
